Go Kart Center has been running a rental track in Thessaloniki since 2010 with a fleet of 120 SODI karts, so we know which parts wear, which break and which keep a kart on track. Most chassis parts are designed for specific models. SODI rental chassis such as the RT8, RX8, RT10, SR5 and LR5 share many components, but dimensions, threads and mounting points can differ between versions. Check the model and the version of your kart, compare the dimensions in the product title with the part you are replacing, and if in doubt send us a photo or the part code. We work with SODI rental karts every day and can confirm fitment before you order.<\/p>
Many rental and leisure karts use single-cylinder four-stroke engines such as the Honda GX160, GX200, GX270 and GX390, or compatible engines based on the same design. Many parts are interchangeable with these compatible engines, but always check the engine model and capacity before ordering. Original and OEM-quality parts keep the engine reliable, and a fleet that uses the same engines can keep a small stock of the most common parts.<\/p>
Kart tyres are made in different compounds for different jobs. Hard and extra-hard rental compounds are built for long life on fleets that run all day, with predictable grip and slow wear. Softer racing compounds warm up faster and give more grip over a single lap, but they wear faster and lose performance after a number of heat cycles. Choose the compound according to how the kart is used: a rental or leisure kart needs durability, a race kart needs grip within the rules of its championship.<\/p>
The chain and sprockets transfer the power of the engine to the rear axle. The pitch must match: 219 chains are used on most racing karts and 428 chains on many rental karts with four-stroke engines. The number of teeth on the sprockets defines the gear ratio: more teeth on the rear sprocket give stronger acceleration, fewer give higher top speed. Replace chain and sprockets together when they are worn, since a new chain on a worn sprocket wears out quickly.<\/p>
