A kart suit protects you from abrasion and keeps your clothes clean. Our range includes the Speed Hobby collection in several designs and colours (Daytona, Detroit, Denver, Barcelona and the hard-wearing Cordura Nevada and Atlanta models), Speed Barcelona suits and the official SWS suit for drivers in Sodi World Series events. Hobby suits are ideal for rental tracks and schools; for official competitions check the homologation required by the regulations.

Driver suits

A kart suit protects the driver from abrasion in a spin or a contact and keeps everyday clothes clean. Hobby and rental suits are made from durable, washable fabrics and are ideal for tracks, schools and leisure driving. Homologated suits carry CIK-FIA approval and are required in official competitions. Choose a size that allows free movement in the seat, especially at the shoulders and knees.

The complete driver kit

Comfort and safety in a kart come from the whole kit working together: a helmet that fits, a suit that lets you move freely, gloves for grip, thin-soled shoes for pedal feel, and for many drivers a neck collar and rib protector. Each piece reduces fatigue, and a driver who is less tired is more consistent and safer on track. If you are building a kit from scratch, start with the helmet and gloves and add the rest as you drive more.

Caring for your gear

Wash suits according to the label, usually at a low temperature with a mild detergent and without fabric softener, and let them dry in the shade. Gloves and shoes should be aired after every session so they dry out, and stored away from direct sunlight. Check seams, closures and soles regularly and replace equipment that is worn, since worn gear protects less and gives less grip.

Gear for every kind of karting

Rental and leisure karting, karting schools and club racing all benefit from proper driver equipment. Many tracks provide basic gear, but your own equipment fits better, is more hygienic and gives more confidence. For official competitions, check the regulations of the championship, which define the homologation required for suits, helmets and other equipment.
